We love outdoor music festivals more than a little, and in our neighborhood, two come to mind. The Sulverlake Jubilee is this weekend, (better known as the music festival that doesn’t fence off all of Sunset Blvd.) Knowing that along with the lineup means you should get off the couch and go too.

This Saturday our friends at Vanessa Squared Productions (interior designer Vanessa De Vargas and design editor Vanessa Kogevinas) are hosting their third High-End Designer Tag Sale shopping event in Brentwood. Think a high-end garage sale with professional advice from some of the best interior designers in Venice and Santa Monica.

The Designer Tag Sale is an upscale interior designer yard/tag sale hosted by Fyndes and Little Castle Productions that will feature over thirty of Los Angeles’ top interior designers and stores/vendors selling items including small furniture such as side-tables, lamps, rugs, pillows, art, accessories and more at incredibly low prices—from $5-$200 only!

The opening reception for Stille Post: 7 curators > 7 artists based on the game of Telephone or Stille Post. The exhibition asked each curator to choose an artist who then chose a curator, and features Whitney Carter, Christopher Russell, Darin Klein, Kate Barclay, Brian Bress, Peter Harkawik, Jan Tumlir, Craig Stecyk, Cindy Ojeda, Laurie Steelink, Doug Harvey, Scott Marvel Cassidy , Daniel Mendel-Black, and Alex Sanchez.

This time of year, it’s difficult to navigate the streets of Los Angeles proper without suntan lotion and your car’s AC on blast. We’re just rebounding from an oppressive heatwave last week that keeps Angelinos from doing what they love most — namely enjoying the outdoors and exploring the town for new haunts, and can expect cooler weather and heads this weekend at last.
